Rock Paper Scissors is a that’s been turned into a live online gambling game. Who’d have thought of that?
Well, the very enterprising people at , that’s who!
Rock Paper Scissors has long been a game used for sorting out disputes, very much like tossing a coin when you need to make a decision.
But in Betgames Rock Paper Scissors you’re putting your money on the line, and betting on whether your choice out of Rock, Paper, or Scissors is going to beat the dealer’s choice.
To be honest, I didn’t know quite what to think when I first saw Rock Paper Scissors, and I’m still not sure whether I’m comfortable that the theme of the game is based on a childhood game – I just wonder how some of the regulators will view this? But that is for someone else to decide and debate.
It’s a simple game in concept – we all know how to play it, but I didn’t find it that easy to understand when faced with a table and some playing cards.
The game is presented well, the studio design is slick and the way the game table is displayed is a great improvement on the previous game, Speedy 7.
Visually the game presents as a two-player card game, so when you start playing it’s confusing when you find out it’s not. I had a bit of difficulty understanding the visual queues I was being given along with the commentary by the dealer. Honestly, it must be my age, but it took me a good 5 minutes of play to work out what was going on, and that was after I had read the how to play guide!
I couldn’t find a defined paytable, which left me trying to work out the payouts before I placed a bet. The information is displayed dynamically when you select a bet amount, which is different from how pay tables and bets are normally displayed, so this caused me some unnecessary confusion as I tried to work out what was going on.
Once I got over that, I found that I got bored very quickly – there was no entertainment value in playing, so I would struggle to stay at the table for longer than a few minutes.
However, I’m pleased Betgames has developed this game because as a player I like to be challenged with new games and ways to bet, but the overall experience of playing wasnR17;t great for me.
Sadly it’s not a game that I will be coming back to play, however, I’d encourage you to try it to see what you think.
Quite simply, you place a bet on the symbol you want to play with – Rock, Paper, or Scissors. The dealer deals a card from a deck of 24 cards containing those symbols. If your selection beats the dealer’s card selection you win.
If you’re playing in the Silver Zone side of the table the payout is 1.85:1 for a win and for a tie your bet is returned. For the Gold Zone, wins are paid at 2.5:1, while ties are paid at 0.35:1. Your stake is not returned on a Tie.
Rock, Paper, Scissors can be played at online casinos that have BetGames.TV live dealer games.
Cards are used as a mechanism for choosing the symbol the dealer will play. The player can pick their own symbol from the selection of three, Rock, Paper, or Scissors.
Each game round including the betting time of 20 seconds is played in about one minute.
Betgames Rock, Paper, Scissors can be played at any online casino that has Betgames.TV live dealer games. Check out the list of casinos on my review page.
The outcomes for Rock, Paper, Scissors is the same whether you’re playing online at a casino or in the back yard with your mates. Rock blunts scissors, Paper wraps Rock, and Scissors cut Paper.
