MultiBet Baccarat is Authentic Gaming’s first live dealer card game to be launched. Better known for their live stream roulette tables, Authentic has embarked on an expansion plan to add more live dealer games to their repertoire.
MultiBet Baccarat is a multi-player game, where an unlimited number of players can bet on either Banker or Player, with an additional range of side bets to add a bit more fun to each game round.
In this review I’ll cover the different elements of the game, how to play, the strategies you can use and also demonstrate in a video review some of the options in the playing interface.
Here are six things you should know about Authentic Multibet Baccarat.
The first thing you need to decide is whether you want to play the Commission or No Commission version of the game.
If you select No Commission, Banker wins will be paid at 1:1 (Commission version pays 0.95:1) and if the banker wins with a Six only 50% of the wager is paid.
Once you’ve decided on the above, playing is quite simple.
Once betting time is open (it lasts between 13-15 seconds), you can place a bet on 3 main options:
There are also 14 separate side bets which are optional to play. I’ll cover those in more detail below.
When the betting time has closed, the dealer deals a card face up to the Player position and then one to the Banker position. The Player position gets a second card as does the Banker.
The 3rd card rule then comes into play depending on the total of the two hands. See Baccarat Playing Rules for more information.
The hand closest to or equalling a total of Nine is the winner unless both hands have the same value in which case it’s a Tie, where all players get half their stakes returned to them.
Multibet Baccarat comes with fourteen optional side bets. These are only in play until the dealing shoe reaches 50% used when they are switched off.
The reason is quite simple, to stop players from taking advantage of some bet types, given they know which cards and values are left in the shoe.
The side bets include:
If you’re looking at the side bets and asking yourself which are the best ones to play, just take a look at the relative RTPs.
The best by a country mile is the Over and Under hands with a total of 9.5. These both have an RTP above 99.95% – which is virtually a 100% return! They don’t pay much, but you’ll get a regular return.
Other side bets to try are the Big and the Player Dragon Bonus. Check out the relative payouts for the Dragon Bonus and settle for something that will give a return of 5:1 or less.

Multibet Baccarat comes with a comprehensive set of Baccarat Roadmaps.
These are pictorial representations of the results from the shoe.
A new set of roadmaps is created for every new dealing shoe, with the previous one cleared ready to take the results of the new shoe.
There are five roadmaps included in the playing interface. Each can be zoomed in enabling you to see the information in more detail.
An additional feature to Ask Player or Ask Banker is provided, which enables you to see the impact a Banker or the Player result would make to the roadmaps.
This is a useful feature if you use the Roadmaps to help you place your bets by predicting which will be the next winning hand.
A lot has been written about betting strategies for baccarat, so I’m not going to replicate them all here.
However, I will cover some of the most common baccarat strategies to guide you.
Another option is to play the Side Bets hard. The Player and Banker Totals over 9.5 and Player and Banker Totals under 9.5 have the best RTP of the whole game with an RTP of 99.95/99.56%. These bets payout 0.66:1 and 1.23:1, so going big on these is likely to have some success. The key is knowing when to play them – the best time is just before the side bets are disabled, assuming you have been keeping track of the card values that have been dealt up to that point.
Whatever you do, there is no guarantee you’ll win, but using a strategy makes the game a little more fun to play
Firstly it’s great news that Authentic Gaming has created a live dealer baccarat game.
The actual game is fine. It’s presented well and the dealers do a good job. The studio environment is nice.
But, and I say this with a heavy heart – while the paying interface has everything you’d expect, its presentation and execution is not very good indeed.
The roadmaps are awful – even though you can zoom in on them, there is no legend for new players or advice on how to use them in any of the help text. They are there but it feels like more for decoration than serving any useful purpose.
I applaud that there are so many Side Bets, but they have been squeezed in the playing interface that makes it difficult to see and use them. I’m not used to scrolling through to see which bets are on offer. Again it feels like there was little thought to the player and what they might need.
All in All, there is plenty of better versions of live dealer Baccarat online that you can play.
Authentic Multibet Baccarat has the basics, but for a great experience, my advice is to play elsewhere.
Multibet Baccarat is a live dealer game of Baccarat from Authentic Gaming. The table is streamed from their studios in Malta and allows both Commission and Non-Commission versions. There are 14 optional side bets, which make playing more interesting.
The RTP for the No-Commission version is 98.76%, while the normal version has an RTP of 98.94%.
Multibet Baccarat is available at all Authentic Gaming Casinos.
Authentic MultiBet Baccarat has five Baccarat Roadmaps, which are updated automatically after each hand has been completed.
Authentic is better know for its land-based streaming of live roulette tables. Of these, I’d recommend Aspers Roulette.
Studio Roulette tables are really popular now, so try the innovative XL Roulette with its multipliers or perhaps Blaze Roulette. Both are open 24×7.
If you want to try Authentics other card games, you’ll find details of Multiplay Blackjack here.
