Ezugi Ultimate Roulette Live Review, Strategy and How to Play

Ezugi ultimate roulette live

Introduction & Background to Ezugi Ultimate Roulette

Ultimate Roulette is the third “Ultimate” multiplier live dealer game that Ezugi has produced, following Ultimate Sic Bo and Ultimate Andar Bahar.

In this version of multiplier roulette, we are treated to a circus-themed game of live Roulette, with a maximum of eight multipliers of between 50x and 1000x each game round.

The multipliers are available on Straight-up bets only, the first five are free, but there’s the option to “buy” three more once betting time has closed and the first set of multipliers are assigned.

This and some cool-looking game presentation and a straight-up base payout of 28:1 is what differentiates this game from XXXtreme Lightning Roulette and Quantum Roulette.

In this review, I’ll explain how to play Ultimate Roulette and highlight the differences between this game and the other multiplier roulettes in the market.

You’ll also see me play a few game rounds in my video review, and I’ll explain a bit about the strategies you can use to play.

Overview of Ultimate Roulette

Ultimate Roulette brings a theatrical experience to live dealer multiplier roulette. The Ringmaster takes control of the circus-themed studio and activates the big top-inspired auto-roulette wheel to deliver multiplier payouts of up to 1000x.

If you’re lucky and have purchased extra multipliers, the maximum multiplier can increase to 2000x!

After placing your bets, the Ringmaster draws back a pleated red curtain to reveal up to five numbers with multipliers assigned to them.

Once betting time has closed, you can add up to three more multipliers costing 10% each.

The multipliers are only active on straight-up bets, which pay 28:1 under normal circumstances.

Ultimate Roulette has an RTP of 97.30%, with each game round taking 68 seconds to play.

An Auto roulette wheel is used.

It’s impossible to save favourite bets or use the Race Track to place straight-up bets.

Also missing from the playing interface are Special bet selections and the ability to place bets on the statistics charts.

How To Play Ultimate Roulette

Playing Ultimate Roulette is no different from playing regular European Roulette.

If you’re after the multipliers, you’ll need to place Straight-up bets, as these are the only ones that qualify for the multipliers.

The other thing to know about the straight-up numbers is the payout value. It is 28:1 as opposed to 35:1, which is standard on European Roulette tables.

Ultimate Roulette starts with 15 seconds of betting time, and the whole game round takes 68 seconds to play.

With Roulette, you aim to have an active bet on the number the ball lands in when the wheel has stopped spinning. If you manage that, you win!

The odds of correctly predicting the correct number is 37:1.

The payout for doing that is 28:1, but if the number has a multiplier, the payout could be anything up to 2000:1!

Types of Roulette Bets

There are two types of bets in Roulette:

  1. Inside bets are bets on specific numbers or a selection of numbers using just one chip. A Straight-Up Bet covers one number, a Split covers two, a Street covers three numbers, a Corner covers four, and a Line covers six.
  2. Outside bets cover many numbers in one go, from 33% of the board to almost 50% with one bet. These include Red/Black, Odd/Even, 1-18/19-36, Column and Dozen.

The Race Track is used to place sections bets, where you cover a section of the wheel with stakes, and neighbour bets, where you pick a number on the wheel and bet on it and its neighbours. You can decide how many neighbouring numbers you want to cover.

Only the Straight-Up bets qualify for the multipliers. All other bets pay the regular roulette payouts. See the Table below.

The Multipliers

Initially, up to five numbers can be selected to have a multiplier value. The possible values are 50x, 100x, 150x, 250x, 500x, 750x, and 1000x.

Once betting time has closed, there is an opportunity to purchase up to three more multiplier numbers. Each extra one costs an additional 10% of your main bet. So one number costs 10%, two costs 20% and three numbers cost 30%.

These additional multipliers can be doubled and spread to adjoining numbers if you’re lucky.

Spread Multipliers

Occasionally, a multiplier can “spread” to two adjoining numbers, transferring the multiplier values to those numbers. This doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it can negate the need to buy multipliers in the next phase.

Place Your Bets

If you’re going for the multipliers, you need to be placing straight-up bets.

You can place the bets on the primary betting grid and the racetrack. Note: The racetrack doesn’t cover the numbers as straight-up bets. You’ll get some, but most are placed as split bets.

Also, remember you only have 15 seconds of betting time, so you need to bet quickly.

Ultimate Roulette Betting Time

I’ve used the betting grid to place my bets, selecting a series of Straight-up numbers.

Note: There is no way to save your bets as Favourites or use the Racetrack to place Straight-up bets.

Ultimate Multipliers are Chosen

Ultimate Roulette Multiplier selection
Ultimate Roulette first Multipliers

There is a two-stage process in selecting the first set of multipliers.

The beating grid pulses Yellow and Red, signifying the RNG engine is selecting the numbers and multiplier values.

The presenter moves to the curtain behind the wheel, which opens, revealing the numbers and associated multipliers.

These are superimposed on the betting grid. This is my favourite part of the game, where the numbers pulse purple between the multiplier and numbers.

Ultimate Roulette buy multipliers

Once the initial multipliers are locked in, you can buy up to three additional multipliers, each costing 10% of the main bet.

In this instance, I buy three.

Ultimate Roulette second multipliers

The extra multipliers are displayed on the screen behind the dealer.

Under certain circumstances, these can be doubled in value, boosting, for example, a 1000x multiplier to 2000x.

The Result

Ultimate Roulette Result

The Auto Roulette wheel spins, and under gravity, the ball falls into one of the numbered pockets.

The playing interface compares the result with your bets and displays your winnings if you’ve won.

Odds, Payouts & RTPs

All the payouts for Ultimate Roulette are the same as regular European Roulette, with one exception.

Straight-up payouts are 28:1. The standard is 35:1. The low payout is required to finance the multipliers and the Spread Multipliers in the game.

The 10% fee funds the extra multipliers if you purchase them.

The RTP is 97.30%, which is what I’d expect from Roulette.

  • Straight Up bet: 96.84%
  • One extra number: 94.66%
  • Two extra numbers: 94.34%
  • Three extra numbers: 97.17%

Strategies To Win on Ultimate Roulette

I need to cover some areas when discussing playing strategies for Ultimate Roulette.

  1. The first is whether to purchase the extra Multipliers.
  2. The second is the type of bets you should place to give yourself the best chance of winning.

Multiplier Purchase Strategy

The choice is yours as to whether you buy the extra multipliers.

My advice is don’t always buy them.

Make your decision after seeing if you have any multiplier numbers after the first phase. You may even have Spread Multipliers, so in this instance, my advice is not to purchase them.

Only purchase the multipliers if the first phase has delivered only a couple and you have missed out on them.

That’s a good time to buy the extra multipliers. Always buy three.

Straight-up Betting Strategies for Ultimate Roulette

I will concentrate on Straight-Up bets as they are the ones where the multipliers apply.

Your strategy options are few:

  1. Cover every number! – You’ll win on every spin – 28:1, but would have laid the equivalent of 37:1, so you’ll be nine chips down every spin unless you have a multiplier win. The minimum multiplier is 50x, so it doesn’t take much to understand you need one of these every five spins to break even.
  2. Cover 50% of the betting grid – this is a better strategy, as you cover half the numbers – giving you a 50% chance of bagging a multiplier. This strategy is less risky, and you’ll return more than your total bet if you win. But be prepared to lose 50% of the time. I like this for short periods when I have a decent bankroll behind me. As for the numbers I pick, I keep them random and cover as much of the wheel as possible.
  3. Section bets are good if you cover each number – you’ll have to do that manually rather than rely on the Race Track to do it for you. I use statistics to see the trends. I bet with or against them, depending on how I feel. You’ll pick up fewer hits this way, but you’ll lose less and be able to play longer.
  4. Favourite Numbers – This strategy suits those of us that have favourite numbers and superstitions. Ensure you don’t cover more than half the numbers – my advice is a third. Pick birthdays, significant dates and lucky numbers.

Strategies are there to help you enjoy the game more. No strategy can guarantee you’ll win, so be careful in the advice you follow. Do what is right for you and only bet what you can afford to lose.

Ultimate Roulette Statistics & Result Tracking

Ultimate Roulette wheel stats
Ultimate Roulette sections stats
Ultimate Roulette Results stats

You can select to view the three results statistic charts for between the last ten spins up to 500.

They give a markedly different view of the results, with fewer results representing trends, while the 500 results get nearer to how the game plays out in the long term.

Hot and Cold numbers are represented on a Wheel, with the colour gold depicting the Hot numbers and Grey the Cold numbers. The last five of each are also displayed.

The Advanced Tab shows the distribution of the results for Outside Bets and the Section of the wheel. These are depicted as percentages.

The final table, Results, shows each of the last 500 results, including which ones were multipliers and their value.

Tips For Beginners

Here are six tips for playing Ultimate Roulette.

  1. Know the bets you want to place before betting time opens. There are only 15 seconds of betting time which runs out quickly if you need to put a lot of chips on the tables.
  2. The only way to place a straight-up bet is to use the betting grid and click on a number.
  3. You cannot place bets using the Statistics charts.
  4. You’ll be unable to save your betting pattern as a favourite.
  5. Do not place a chip on all the numbers – you’ll lose in the long term.
  6. Buy extra multipliers when you haven’t been given a multiplier in the first phase.

How Ultimate Roulette Compares with Other Multiplier Roulette Games

I believe Ultimate Roulette compares ok regarding the multipliers on offer and the maximum possible payout of 2000x.

What cheapens it is the “Buy more” multiplier feature. I don’t like games where you have to pay more to play the features, so this sets it apart from the main rivals of Nexus Roulette, XXXtreme Roulette and Quantum Roulette.

It falls more into the category of Super Stake Roulette, which also charges a fee, but has a maximum multiplier of 5000x!

It’s certainly not as good as Mega Fire Blaze Roulette or Jet Set Racing Roulette, which offer larger multipliers that apply to all Inside bets.

But the Circus Theme is probably the best I’ve seen, and the animations on the betting grid depicting the multipliers are excellent.

Summary

The presentation of Ultimate Roulette is excellent. I like the theme and how it’s been followed into the wheel design. My only criticism of the wheel is the numbers are difficult to see with the colour pallet they have used, so you have to rely on the computer-generated images to see the result correctly.

The range of multipliers is good, and the extra boost you can get is also nice, but I haven’t managed to see or experience it while playing.

In my experience, games that charge an extra fee for playing don’t do as well as ones that don’t. It’s not cool, and I’m sure there is another way Ezugi could have achieved the same result without charging a fee.

The straight-up base payout of 28:1 is not in line with other multiplier games, so you have a choice about what is more important to you – the multipliers or the base payouts.

I’m a bit disappointed with the playing interface. It lacks the fundamental options we’re used to seeing everywhere else. Having no favourite bets is a pain, and the interface hasn’t been optimised for placing straight-up bets (which is what this game is about) – so it’s not that player friendly.

It’s a shame about the playing interface, as the game looks great, and you get a sense there are multipliers out there to be won.

Ultimate Roulette is certainly a game you should try if you like multiplier roulette games. Compare how you get on with Lightning Roulette which is the gold standard when it comes to these types of games.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Ultimate Roulette?

Ultimate Roulette is a new multiplier game from live casino games developer, Ezugi. Random multipliers replace the payouts for up to 5 numbers on the roulette wheel, paying between 50x and 2000x.

Is Ultimate Roulette Easy to Play?

You play Ultimate Roulette as you would any game of European Roulette, so in that sense, it’s easy to play. The game is all about straight-up bets and getting the bigger payouts from multipliers, so knowing where to place your bets and how much is critical in this game.

Does Ultimate Roulette Live Use RNG?

RNG (Random Number Generator) picks the multiplier numbers and their value. The RNG will ensure that the payouts meet the overall RTP of the game, which is 97.30%. That’s why in some game rounds, the multipliers will be few, low in value, and occasionally lots and high.

Is there a winning strategy for Ultimate Roulette?

I wouldn’t say there is a winning strategy, but there are strategies you can use to maximise the use of your bankroll and extend your playing time on the game. Basic things like not betting more than you can win and not covering the whole betting grid with bets will help. Check out my Strategy advice for some tips.

What is the RTP of Ultimate Roulette?

The RTP is 97.30%.

What is the highest Payout on Ultimate Roulette?

The maximum payout is 2000x, which comes from a boosted multiplier. You must be fortunate to see one of these, let alone win one!
